AML experience across rules, operations and leadership.
Over 10 years of experience across AML/CFT, Compliance and European financial settings, including second-line responsibilities and Financial Crime team management.
My background
Following a Master’s-level degree in Economics & Management, I specialised in AML/CFT, Compliance, Risk and Governance through specialist postgraduate/master-level AML/CFT training, ACAMS certification and ICA training focused on gaming, alongside dedicated learning in crypto-assets and banking. That training remains grounded in hands-on work.
Across more than 10 years I have worked in payments/e-money, banking, fintech, crypto-assets, forex/CFDs, gaming, insurance and AML technology, including second-line, Financial Crime and leadership responsibilities. I have seen controls, fraud patterns, transaction chains, complex structures and cross-border activity from the side assessing the risk. That experience taught me which questions matter, which inconsistencies require deeper review and what evidence makes a decision reconstructable.
Professional interaction with authorities and supervisory functions added a third perspective: understanding how a requirement is viewed in supervision, which evidence makes a control demonstrable, and how to structure clear communication when requests, findings or reviews arise. This does not mean predicting an authority’s outcome; it means approaching the dialogue with facts, responsibilities and remediation clearly organised.
Consulting work and experience with corporate setup and cross-border structures across Malta, the United Kingdom and Gibraltar added the other perspective: businesses and professionals trying to understand a request, explain economic activity, reconstruct funds and ownership, and organise coherent documentation. My method comes from connecting those two sides: understand the control logic and translate it into a practical path for the person who has to address it.
This is the method I bring to advisory work: start with the actual risk, identify what is missing, and translate requirements, controls and evidence into an understandable, reconstructable decision.

Professional interaction around AML expectations, evidence, findings and communication in supervisory and review contexts.
05
Corporate setup, licensing & Cross-border
Experience with corporate structures, multi-jurisdictional gaming-licence environments and operations across Malta, the United Kingdom and Gibraltar, with attention to AML frameworks, governance, evidence and regulatory transitions.
HOW I CAN HELP
Make risk understandable. Make decisions explainable.
I help organisations and professionals turn regulatory expectations into priorities, processes, controls and usable evidence. The goal is to identify the work the situation actually requires.
